AL6061 tubeset

Our e-bike frames are made of AL6061 aluminum. This alloy is often used for example in electronic products and household appliances or even aerospace components. It has a very good corrosion resistance, optimal mechanical properties and is very easy to machine and weld. The aluminum tubes get the desired shape in the hydroforming process, before the single frame parts are welded. In this process, aluminium tubes are placed in hollow moulds and high pressure hydraulic pumps inject fluid at very high pressure. This shapes the tubes into forms that give our e-bikes a modern aesthetic and the individual touch.

Pinion Gearbox

The sealed Pinion gearbox is centrally located in the frame, resulting in a low center of gravity and the superb riding experience. Because of the weight distribution, the bicycle handles with exceptionally agility and dynamics. Depending on the application, the gear ratio spans from the urban C1.6 6-gear gearbox with an overall ratio of 295% to the P1.18 premium model with 18 gears and an overall ratio of 636%. Ergonomically, it is suited to both short and long rides with stance widths (Q-factor) of just 166 for C-line and 174 millimeters for P-Line gearboxes. It allows for both sporty as well as efficient riding, as the pedaling power is applied directly into the drivetrain.

Silent E-Drive E-Bike

The Tout Terrain Silent E-Drive System consists of a durable Tout Terrain frame, the reliable Pinion gearbox, the whisper quiet Neodrives rear motor and the low maintenance Gates belt drive. Perfect for riders seeking the ride quality of a Tout Terrain with the drive of an E-bike. The placement of the Pinion gearbox makes for a stable ride, while the battery holder is supremely practical. The Neodrives Z20 S Motor has 40 Nm of torque and 300% power assist and speeds up to 25 km/h. The V8 battery has a capacity of 625 Wh and the ability to charge on downhills, resulting in a range up to 120km.

acros blocklock 164°

The acros blocklock headset prevents the handelbars from turning too far, so that the downtube is protected from impacts by the fork crown controls or handlebars. It also helps to protect sensitive displays and cables on e-bikes in case of a crash. The best thing about it: from the outside the blocklock looks almost like a standard headset. It’s the inside that makes the headset stand out.

27.5" (650B)

The 27.5" (or 650B) wheel size is a great addition to the world of wheel sizes. It allows for extreme versatility and offers an ideal balance between on-road and off-road use. Situated between the classic 26" and 28" (700C) wheel sizes, 27.5" tires are a compromise – in a positive sense. On the plus side, they offer better rolling characteristics and more elegant looks compared to a 26" setup, and more comfort than narrower 28" (700C) tires. These tires also have a significantly lower rotating mass than modern, large-volume 29" tires and thus offer a more lively, more agile riding experience. For us, the 27.5" tires are used in sporty all-road models and in the off-road sector.

Tout Terrain E-Trekking Rack

Our Trekking e-bikes are equipped with the semi-integrated Tout Terrain E-Trekking Rack with the Racktime SnapIt 2.0 mount. An intuitive and safe system for luggage transport with a maximum load up to 25 kg. The rack has two mounting points for the rear fender ensuring stability and protection during the ride.

Belt Compatible

Free yourself from oily, rusty chains and join the Gates Carbon Drive revolution: Clean, quiet, rugged. Almost no other component has advanced the bicycle as a mode of low-maintenance transport as much as the Gates Carbon Drive belt. Particularly when used year-round, you'll be pleased with its low maintenance as periodic cleaning is all that's required. Belts even last two to three times longer than a chain. Tout Terrain was one of the first manufacuters to offer bicycles with belt drives, and with more than 10 years of experience we have optimized our frames for this purpose. Unlike a chain which can ""unlink"" to fit onto a bike, a belt is seamless, so the frame must "open" to allow it to fit onto the drivetrain. Our belt-specific dropout design is an integral part of the frame and very discrete. The connection is made of stainless steel and will provide a lifetime of reliability.
